How different is the approach to write a Game and Interface Plugins for SimTools 2.6 compared to SimTools 2.0? (As for SimTools 2.0 response is already on the forum)

There should be no difference for SimTools 2.6 compared to SimTools 2.0: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...lugin-for-simtools-2-0-api-documentation.131/

However, it likely makes more sense if creating a new plugin to do so for SimTools v3.0 instead: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...in-for-simtools-v3-0-api-documentation.17019/

By this I understand is that - I can create new plugins following v3.0 as well even if my SimTools version is 2.6. Please help me clarify this doubt. Your support is appreciated.

No, Simtools v2 plugins are not compatible with Simtools v3.

However, SimTools v3 is a free upgrade and given v2 has been superseded it does make some sense to consider upgrading and making the plugin for v3.
