    Welcome @MSG.

Doing some research before getting in too deep is time well spent.

I had a second hand older PT Actuator motion rig a few years back, but sold it when I started a new job and moved... Wish I kept everything but the PT Actuator part LOL.
I had Simucube, a couple very nice Australian made wheels (two different brands), nice H shifter (can't remember the brand, but was miles better than Fanatec H shifter!), Jinx quickshifter, Heusinkveld Sprints, wind, etc)

P.S I had an account here (same name and email address I just used to sign up xD), but it may have been deleted due to inactivity of a few years idk

Hey Everyone. I'm Mark and I'm from Texas. I used to play sim games years ago before all of the equipment was a lot less sophisticated than what you can put together these. days. At this point I'm really just trying to learn and decide how I want to proceed to put together a nice system.

    Welcome @mpride.

There are so many possibilities, depending on how far down the rabbit hole you want to go.

Doing some research before getting in too deep is time well spent!

Bounce your plans and shopping list off members before ordering, as it can be an expensive if you get it wrong.

New to the page as well. I started the day planning on building a stationary seat for racing but I’ve been led down the motion rabbit hole. lol. What I plan on building is a 2DOF with traction loss. I plan on doing a frame with 1” steel tubing and welding it. I want to make it semi compact as well. Now is where all the time and research comes! After all day of researching and looking for things, I think I will use wheel chair motors. Now it’s off to the forums!

    Greetings ALL!

As with a lot of stuff, I came here while looking at something elsewhere on the Interwebs. I currently have a static simpit for VR-DCS. In DCS, I go by the callsign "Poser". I chose this callsign mainly because I am a certified private pilot IRL but never made it to Top Gun (I was Army rather than Navy and the colocated Air Force guys wouldn't let me anywhere near the F-16s - LOL). Anyhoo, I run a Winwing Orion 2 F16EX stick, F/A18 trottle, MFG Crosswinds pedals in a self customized NLR Boeing flight rig in VR only. At some point, I want to go full-motion to enhance the experience and get closer to real flight. Now if I could only figure out how to pull Gs in the sim. ;)

Hello! My name is Alex. I’am from New York. After watching some videos on youtube, I decided to build a 2DOF racing simulator. Planning on using a wiper motors or wheelchair motors. I also plan on using a cheap frame. Any recommendations on the frame I could use and what are the weight limitations if I decide to use wiper motors. Thanks in advance!
