    Hi all,
we need some advice. I've sold my rig to James.
Its a 2 dof SimuKit, here is my original build thread.

    https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/2-dof-simukit-build.6702/

It was working on Simtools 2, on my machine, I demo-ed it James when he came here.

But his computer is not recognising the board.

I've said he needs to install the sabertooth drivers:
available here, before he does anything else:
    https://www.dimensionengineering.com/products/sabertooth2x25

Unfortunately he's already changed the sketch that I sold it with, so he needs to flash the old one back on.

Ideally @Wanegain is hopefully around to give us some advice!

James, here is the email for contact with Wanegain simukit @ gmail . com

I would hope that he would be able to find the solution as he designed the kit.

And the discord is here. There seems to be active members

‘Here is an info page for arduino/sabertooth sketches and info.
    https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/arduino-codes-for-sabertooth-2x25-2x32-etc.137/

there’s lot of threads discussing the simukits as well
    https://www.xsimulator.net/community/search/191056128/?q=Simukit&o=date

there should be some useful info on these pages.

    Hi Leo,

I've been trying to help James but we've not had much luck.

Smc3 is my area of knowledge so went that route but couldn't get it to work.

Reverted back to the original code. Am I right in thinking this is not smc3? I couldn't access smc3 utilities. How do you tune the motors?

    Thanks

    Thanks for trying to help.
No, I never used SMC3. I don’t think it existed when I programmed it. I just used SimTools itself.
I’ve not been keeping up to date with SimTool version updates. But back when I built the rig, Simtools had 2 install components. Game Manger and Game Engine. I only ever used those to tune it. Through the arduino sketch to talk to the Sabertooth 2x25.

James needs to install both these components. And the sabertooth drivers, and then reflash the original sketch. then surely it’s just a COM port issue, or specific code in the sketch.

Ok thanks, I've done all that so it's just a matter of trying it out in simtools now then. Thanks

we reflashed the original sketch and the sabretooth drivers and its not controllable in the smc motors just spin another guy has tried tonight and his advice was bin it he says the wiring is giving a signal that the wires are not good so tomorrow gonna look at the wiring this is the third person who knows lots more than me are now clueless to were to move to next we got the motors working just manual through connected it via the sabretooth and turning the cogs with slow and speed up the motors so thats good
