Hi guys, thank you all for your contribution to this thread.

It helped me a lot setting up my GS-4

It did not work until I entered the latest Interface Output of Darkcrayon. :thumbs

I still have no clue what those lines do... but it works! :cheers

I started a thread here and you might be able to answer my questions: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/my-rig-diy-rtl-gs-4.12062/

[IMG] I wonder if someone could give me a little help please. I've tried to set this up today but when I try to test using the b axis (as its setup) the LED on the ServoCenter board comes on but the servos don't move.

The ServoCenter control panel allows me to move them fine and I have the correct serial port, any help would be appreciated.

The image attached shows my settings and the output for startup, interface and shutdown are these

Whelp, hate to raise up a dead thread, but there's precious little info out there on these things. I just got my hands on a GS5 seat and teh Gbelt tensioner. I'm trying to get it to work in X-Plane and or DCS. Yobuddy sent me here, but the GS4 has a bunch of small servos. The GS5 has 4 large stepper motors.

I'd like to figure this thing out, but I'm clueless on the software side.

I don't know anything about the GS5 (wish I did, maybe next year :) ), so I don't even know what kind of device drives it. Maybe you could check device manager in Windows and try to figure out what's moving it. If it's similar to the GS4 (basically a USB to serial device sending commands) maybe you can figure it out. I'm not sure that there would be a big practical difference between the servos vs. stepper motors because you're still moving X panel Y much on command, right? (Or maybe that's wrong, again I don't have a GS-5 but it looks like the same concept obviously...)

How do you guys find the Startup/Interface outputs? I'm using a serial port monitor, but not getting anything that looks like the data you are using.

I'm trying to get eh GS5 seat working, and using a serial port monitor I get this on startup:
