But that means once the first one is setup correctly, it will stay on while applying settings for the second etc etc?

No, just leave the allocation figures but disable the Axis temporarily by setting the Force to - from the selction menu.

A simple question: I have purchased a Professional License for SimTools 2.0, but for plugins download I have to continue to accumulate points by intervening in the forum discussions or by purchasing the annual access for 19 euro?
I thought that with a SimTools Professional License subsequent plugins download it would have been free!

It is free to dload plugins...you just have to participate On the forum. The pro license will give you access to game dash, game vibe(when released), and there are a few other bells and whistles. Also if you decide to sell your simulator the pro license allows some other freedoms.

    I even don't understand this.

    Question:
Would someone buy a new "Windows"-version, if he had to pay extra for the hardware-drivers ?

    Without plugins SimTools is useless.

Didn't you realize that there are many new members here only writing posts to get coins for plugins.
On every second thread you can read (a half year after the last post): "Good work", "Beautiful sim", "Very nice", "I will also build the same", "blahblah" .
And every time all interested members have to read it because this thread is back on first place of the list.
    This is very annoying.

Yes, the quest for coins is very annoying.
There's a thread about it somewhere, started when we passed from getting coins just by reading threads to only posting.

    Hi Guys,

I'm super confused about V2 of sim tools ....

Currently i'm using the previous version of sim tools, with game dash to drive two motors for wind simulation in Assetto Corsa. Its a home built DYI rig funded with very limited funds .. when i initially stumbled across sim tools i purchased a gold contribution package so that i could download all elements of the software ..

    Sim Tools
    Assetto Corsa plug-in
    Game Dash

I'd like to resolve the issue about the IE security warning that i posted here by upgrading to V2 .. but not sure about how to go about it.

Can i apply for a free DIY license update ? - if so how do i go about it ?
However the license page say that a basic license no longer support Game Dash ?
But the latest update to the Assetto Corsa plug-in is for V2 but if i do that (with diy license) will i loose game dash ?
Do we still need to purchase download credits to download the software ?

It so very confusing for some like me who is currently only using a very limited part of sim tools but requires the above three software elements just to drive 2 motors for wind simulation as stated here ...

    https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...mber-introduce-here.1737/page-153#post-110922

I do want to look at expanding my rig this year by possibly traction loss if i can afford to make the hardware changes but if it means having to purchase a pro license then i may have to re consider where i go from here ....

    Can you please advise ....

    Cheers
    Jay

hello, you can apply for the diy if you post your rig with details about how you built it and costs (and where to buy) of the components

you will lose for a while game dash with the pro version as game dash is being developped for v2. the diy licence does not suport game dash.
I suggest you wait until pro v2 supports gamedash if gamedash is very important for you

Thanks for the heads up on the current state of Game Dash V2 ... but it looks like it will only work with Sim Tools V2 if i purchase a pro license ... since i am currently not using any motion channels in sim tools and only channel 1 of game dash to drive a wind (road speed) simulator the new licensing model basically makes this a very expensive solution .... for just 1 game dash channel ..... no point applying for a DIY license if that license will not work with game dash V2.

Really don't understand why the dev's have made it so difficult (and expensive) for existing sim tools/game dash users like me who are just using a single game dash channel to drive an output to update ... I assume that there is no way to use game dash V2 without sim tools V2 (with Assetto Corsa plug-in V2)

If this is the case then i would be crazy to continue to use sim tools/game dash as my solution for wind simulation.

Bit disappointed by this approach as am sure you can understand .. :(:(:(

If your not using motion, stay with version 1.3. Especially if your only using 1 channel.

I agree annoying but they must not realize that new members must be members for 30 days before they can get a DIY Simtools license so spamming to get plugins is ridiculous since they are worthless without Simtools too. I've already pointed out this should be made more clear in the warnings about spamming.

I made a similar argument in the simtools2 beta forum months ago that game dash should still be still included in the DIY version but it didn't get any traction. It reminds me of when the old software you used to be able to download here (has new website now) went from v2 to v3. It took away features that you could already get with v2 for free so v3 appeared like a downgrade to me, not an upgrade. And then that developer seemed surprised when everyone didn't instantly switch over, lol. Anyway, it is what it is but since you have 1.3 already you are free to keep using it. Its just over time some plugins will be depreciated since they won't get any more updates.

I had similar concerns about this too in that commercial entities who purchase Simtools 2 Pro to supply with their rigs shouldn't have to be sending their customers to a DIY website and have them pay even more to get the plugins to make the software you are supplying for them functional. I was told commercial entities can supply the plugins with Simtools 2 Pro licenses but that they would be responsible for making downloads and updates available to their customers on their own website. But I guess if you purchase the Pro version for yourself for your own purposes from Simtools.us and are not getting the plugins supplied to you then you must either earn coins or purchase a download package in order to download them here (this helps keep this site up and running). But if you resell your Pro license then it should therefore be acceptable to include what plugins you have accumulated with it also.

Btw @Doctor Kruntz, I would like to personally thank you for purchasing Simtools 2 Pro for your commercially purchased rig! :cheers

As far as I know, the modes clean all this up and boot the offending users.
Someone really creating a DIY sim would have to ask a bunch of questions and have a thread about the sim.
So the coins kind of come easy I think?

We just choose to have 2 levels of licenses.
One where all the game plugins will load (DIY version)
And one with all the bells and whistles (Pro and Entertainment versions)
The Game Dash is not included as it is a companion app and all of those go with the bells and whistles version.
besides that, its not the same GameDash you used in 1.3.
It has been upgraded a lot.

Although I could have added 19eruo to the price of the license for a year of support (and handed this moneys over to René), I choose to let the user decide if they wanted to use free or bought coins.

The coin system and download purchases goes to René, to keep this site going (XSimulator.net).
The licenses bought from SimTools.us supports me working on the core software itself.
I don't own XSimulator.net and I am just a user here like you.

    chat soon guys!

Great how you manage that. Never understood why people invest hundreds or thousands for Hardware but are always super offended to pay for a software to use their hardware.

In order to be able to adjust correctly, I would like to know,
What I make and effect as in the Game-Engine, Tuning-Center and Profile-Editor

In the game engine V2 I have the possibility to adjust the Dof (movement) with 0-150%
What property (force, path or intensity) do I introduce?

In older descriptions I read, it is the way of the motor for the individual Dof movements set.
The sum of the Dof movements should therefore not exceed 100%.

In SimTool V2, however, there are 150%
    - and how does the program show which available path I have on the engine?
    - is 150% then the total distance of the engine?

In Profile Editor I have a slider on the first page,

    slider on the 1 side
-what (Engine-way or force) and how (addition / subtration or multiplication) wich affects the slider on the 1 side ?
As soon as I reduce from 100% to 90%, my motion feels very numb
    - what (Engine-way or force) and how (addition / subtration or multiplication) the slider on the 2 and 3 side.

    in other words:

The right way for a basic setting is still not really clear for me.

In the Tuningcenter I set the Dof movement basic values (Engine-way or force)
The sum of these values should not exceed 100%
    I use my Tri-Motion:
Rolls, Pitch, Heave, Sway and Surge
    100% / 5Dof = 20% for each
When 20% for Heave too little, what then is the right approach?

Then I drive and see what is in the Tuningcenter logged.
In the Tuningcenter I skalieren the sensitivity from speed or acceleration
Large value = smoother / small value = rough

In the profile editor, I can influence 1-100% on the 1-page by slider.
Do I influence the output of the Game-Engine and Tuningcenter or only Game-Engine?
In the profile editor, I can influence on the 2-3 page by slider + - 50.
Do I influence the output of the Game-Engine?
Do I influence the output by addition / subtraction or multiplication ?

Most will go about creating motion profiles pretty much the same as they always have: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/steps-to-create-a-motion-profile.228/

But SimTools 2.0 introduced the a and b classifications for axis allocations so you can drive say a 6DOF rig and a G-Seat at the same time, see @BlazinH's comments here for a bit of an explanation: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...rm-95-finished-020515.5085/page-6#post-123153

    Hello Norbeast

Thank you for your quick response

I have already read everything, but I understand the setting parameters and their functionality not yet

I influence with the Dof 1-150% in the game engine

The way or the force or what actually?

because I have read you set the motor path by 100% and not more
Why we have now 150% in V2 ?
my Engine has 100% of Way and not 150%
    or means in V2 150% in Dof = 100% Engine-way

So what unit I actually set here

    In the Profile Editor

What do I actually influence here?

    - the output of the Game-Engine and Tuningcenter

    - or only Game-Engine

    - or what ?

And how do I pour out by
    - addition / subtraction
    - or multiplication
