    @SilentChill @Avenga76 What about the game, is it worth the €€ they ask for? Or is it just another Dirt game?

    For such early access its pretty damn good judge for yourself :)

    Cant wait to see this develop.

    I like the handling I can feel the car so to speak and ermm yeah cant wait to get some decent cars bought. Quite a few issues with the rift at the moment but its still very playable.

    Thanks for the video, you got got a lot of shaking in your seat don't you? After one hour session on Dirt you gonna be quite tired.
    Traction loss on rally is a must have!

    Is the FOV adjustable? Seems like you're driving from the back seat.

    Are you using simcommander 3 or 4. I tried with 4 using the dirt 2 profile both steam and none steam and couldn't get any motion going.
    Did you have to alter the hardware config file to something specific. As in the ip address of simcommander.

    @Blame73 i am going to tone the roll down a bit it is a bit too much I have already done the pitch. Cant change the FOV yet and the view does seem way to big like assetto corsa did when they first released vr support. Hopefully will be a quick fix when they get round to it :)

    Someone Posted this on iracing forum. Not sure if this works for the rift as well.

    If anyone has a burning need to change the cockpit FOV (the in-game adjustments are pretty minimal) it's possible to do so...it's a bit of hassle but not too bad.

    You have to do it for each car individually, but once you've done it once you can whip through the whole batch pretty quickly...

    Here's the instructions in 13(!) easy steps [IMG]

    1) You need the Ryder BXML Converter program - get it here:
    http://petar.outer-heaven.net/downloads/ccount/click.php?id=23

    Unzip that anywhere...

    2) Now navigate to Dirt Rally cars folder...

    for instance: X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DiRT Rally\cars\models

    In this folder are the individual car folders...they have 3 letter abbreviations, but it's pretty easy to figure out which is which...

    3) Say I want to edit the Lancia Fulvia's FOV...I would choose the 'ful' folder and locate the file 'cameras.xml'

    4) Copy the 'cameras.xml' file and paste it into the folder containing the Ryder BXML Converter.exe.

    5) Drag and drop 'cameras.xml' onto Ryder BXML Converter executable file - this will create a new file - an editable .xml called 'cameras.C.xml'

    7) Open 'cameras.C.xml' using wordpad.

    8 ) Find the line <View type="Head" ident="head-cam" reverseCamera="head-cam_reverse" and then a few lines below that you will see: ><Parameter name="fov" type="scalar" value="50.0000" />
    Change that value to your desired FOV.

    9) Now, one line below that you will see: <Parameter name="playerAdjustableFOV" type="bool" value="true" />
    You need to change 'true' to 'false.' The FOV change will not take effect if you do not change this too...

    10) Save this file with your changes.

    11) Now drag this newly revised 'cameras.C.xml' and drop it on the Ryder BXML Converter executable file. You will get a box asking you to "enter the converion type." Type '1' and hit enter. It should say 'success!' and will have created another .xml file called. 'cameras.C.C.xml.' This file is now properly fomated for the game.

    12) Now you just need to move this new file, 'cameras.C.C.xml', back to the respective car folder - in this case SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DiRT Rally\cars\models\ful and them rename it 'cameras.xml'
    You probably want to back up the original file first rather than overwriting it...

    13) Launch the game and enjoy your new cockpit FOV.
    Don't be put off by these instructions...it really only takes about 1 minute or so start to finish once you gone through the process... [IMG]

    I wouldn't know (since I'm only using a single screen) but if you're an eyefinity user, you can change the FOV universally by just opening and editing X:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\DiRT Rally\cars\generics\eyefinity_cameras_adjustments.xml

    For Triple screen users, set your FOV here:

    - Go to your <steam folder>\SteamApps\common\DiRT Rally\cars\generics\eyefinity_cameras_adjustments.xml and set the Fov angle as you wish.

    <CameraAdjustment class="Head">
    <Fov angle="85" />
    <Tilt percent="100" />
    <Position x="0.0" y="3.0" z="-40.0" />
    </CameraAdjustment>

    Thanks @Avenga76 . I tried that but still no joy. Would it be that the ip or port is a different number on my comp. any idea how to find this out.

    Grand Prix Legends got my vote! The mother of all sims, and with the great active community and mods it is still a very nice sim to play!

    @bob williams, @BlazinH
    When I google GPL I find hundres of mods (well, kinda ;))
    I'm too lazy or too busy to find the "right" or "recommended" one.
    Please give me a hint.
