    yes, your design is not stable: 3 articulated rods... and the plateform will fall instantaneously
    For a similar design but stable, it is 6DOF!

    For 3 DOF only, you need to add a guide to allow heave without sway!

    Or maybe like this below, if your motors are big enough - were the actuators are mounted to a hinged joint at the bottom. As for stepper motors - Ard just driving a stepper motor - easy, but for a sim - high speed + high torque stepper + feedback (rotary encoder etc) and running the required code at the required speed on a Ard - not so easy.

    1x CNC Power Supply 350W 60V 6A For CNC Stepper Motor Driver MA860H M542H NEMA34
    3x steper driver DQ860ma
    1x arduino mega
    later i buy linear acurator .
    how can i connect an test the stepper motor, can anyone help please, an do i need to nut anymore bits for it to work

    @misoswan said - I am a beginner so therefore where do I start? (Just my 2cent:)) - Really depends on your background/workshop etc and how much money you are prepared to throw away on development, but for a beginner 'where do I start' - My only recommendation is to keep it simple for your first sim using one of the well proven designs on this site. Likely a 2Dof seatmover. Once you have built and debugged one of these (no small challenge for a beginner in itself) you will understand more of what is required and can move onto more complex designs (if you feel you even need to). Seen so many people jump into something that is just too complicated/expensive, basically setting themselves up for failure from the beginning. In the end it is of course your choice.
