the key for FAQ is the removal of a plagerist whom simply copies/pastes, add credit so to speak, but then cannot answer any questions related to the topic because all they are trying to do is look good to admin.
    we are not hiding info.
The original creator of the document information may not have ALL the time in the world to add every info at random the the FAQ.
Especially if the info is off slightly, and it may need correcting, so if we simply copy paste from our own information, there is no extra confusion.

EDIT, If a certain person(s) is offended by this, and has this edited and or removed, then dont expect to see me back here on this forum again.

I very much appreciate when someone is taking the time and effort to collect all the info from the various different posts and puts them into one single document. I simply don't have the patience to do that myself.

Now if you (@bsft) call this compiling of information and putting it all into one single document "plagiarism", I think this is your personal problem.

I totally agree @eaorobbie. If we can just name up what would info is important then I for one would be willing to hunt down, link to and credit the posts. I am guessing there may be others who would not mind helping out. There is so much great info that many have contributed, but it is not always easy to find.

    Hi! You're welcome ;)
I spent some time writing FAQ posts and subsections. I'm glad that you liked the time I took to insert links, credits, pictures...

as @RaceRay said, FAQ editor rights are for editing and deleting, so it's hazardous to have many editors...

Thats fine, but when I add info to a post and then the author asks me to add it to FAQ, I cannot, instead, others simply copy/paste add it without thinking or asking the person whom has written the info that has been asked to be put into a FAQ.
There may be extra information that could be added. Instead as Robs says "not sure whom put up some of my stuff" , and yes credit is given, but it still does not seem that the original person whom put that info into the post, is politely asked if the info can be used.
There used to something called common courtesy. Obviously others seem not to have learned that.

I don't even know if it's possible, but some kind of system to allow tags on photo's would be awesome.
For example, if I wanted to search for "G27 wheel mount", I have to hope someone wrote "Here is my g27 wheel mount" in a post.

I have amassed huge amounts of photo while I trawled the forums for ideas and inspiration.
Would be nice to have a searchable gallery of everyone's rig.

Just a thought anyway - I am aware it's likely a forum limitation and not really a FAQ type thing.

    Cheers,

    Archie.
