Hello, I'm using google translate, I hope you'll forgive me for any grammatical errors.
Well, I bought a homemade 2Dof base, and everything was working perfectly, until a potentiometer started to give problems, so after talking to an electronics technician friend, I decided to install the hall potentiometers (I don't know if that's what they are called), now that comes the problem.
The hall I bought is 360 degrees, I did the configuration as written in the posts here on the forum, but unfortunately it didn't work, my motors go crazy, I try to fix it using smc3, but I can't.
    could someone help me please.
I don't want to go back to using the potentiometers
    thanks

Can you please post pictures of your SMC3 setting running a Sine test.

Normally I would suggest 180 degree Hall sensors, but suspect your issue is that SMC3 likely needs resetting from scratch.

You could try repositioning that hall effect sensor. they have a start and stop position, if it's not a continual rotation one and they have one spot where they Spike really badly. you need to find the sweet spot for your hall effects. you can't just slap it in there I mean your sensor shaft have to be in a certain position to start

Also when your positioning your hall effect sensor shaft, do it without moving the motor shaft. Put your motor shaft where you want your neutral/start position to be. Then separately, disconnect your hall sensor pot from your motor shaft. Then turn the pot shaft by hand until you find it's neutral spot. Then you put everything together with both shafts in their neutral positions and then you should be good to go. And you're more than likely will need to reverse the direction on that motor as well
