Question Idle Motor feedback

    Hey all,
    I have set up my motors with my pots and I am trying to configre them in SMC3. Everything is working, I am able to drive my motor arms when I simulate motions. But I am getting a buzzing from my motors when they are idle, and the feedback line in SMC3 shows there is activity going on in the motor because the line is very jagged. I have attached a screen shot where I have turn down all the settings and I still get this jagged line.
    Anyone have any suggestions about how I can straigten this line out and quiet down my motors?

    @noorbeast thanks for your reply. I actually followed those instructions originally. I just set everything back to zero for my screenshot to show the line more clearly. It didn’t seem to matter how I adjusted the other properties in SMC3, my green line for my motors remained jagged like that and the motors continued to idle with a noise.
    Im not sure what to adjust to try and flatten that line.

    You can set a small dead zone in SMC3 if necessary.

    The rest of the settings should have the motors smoothly and closely following Out Mode tests when properly adjusted.

    Check all cables are well shielded and clip on Ferrite magnets may help if there is interference.
