Not pretty, but it works. .8mm nozzle rough draft quality. Definitely looks better out of the case :grin

I saw that you mentioned the technique in your discord. I am ok with utility quality.

I have not yet purchased extrusion but I really felt like printing something. They are printed for 100100 aluminum but will work with whatever size I choose. Leaning toward 100100 again.
7 hours 18 minutes print time. .8mm nozzle rough draft quality.

Messy preperation for motion. Wires wires wires. Still need to buy the parts for the sfx bits. But I do want to get the electric bits sorted for my surge, sway and yaw

My traction loss/yaw (ish), surge and sway motors are mounted and ready for use. Just need to decipher the AMC controller settings and I can fire those three up. Still need to order the materials for the four linear actuators, when my budget recovers.

Nice work:thumbs, but would recommend that you support the screw with a linear rail (maybe you are already planning to do this?), as they are not design to take lateral forces by themselves. Over time they will bend/distort causing all sorts of issues.

@SeatTime good point, thanks for the comment. I had not thought about adding rails. The TL screw is a monster 1"x1/4", I used it because it was collecting dust in the shop. The other two are ultra cheap ebay items. Easily replaced if I have to. I am curious how well they will hold up in the current configuration but I had not really thought about the rapid direction changes and the mass involved.

I did finally get FlyPTMover set up and working with surge, sway and traction loss. They work GREAT! Firing six .50s from the nose of an F86 Sabre really gives you a kick forward, the traction loss is even better than standard yaw for feeling the plane kick around in a rudder turn, and sway just rocks you back and forth with the turbulence....Wow freaking Wow!.

Later this weekend I will set up iRacing and give it a spin(pun intended)

Ordered 100x100 aluminum profile today (guess I should change the name of the thread again).

A lucky find on craigslist means that I can CNC my parts rather than print them 1.25" (32mm) HDPE sheets will do very well indeed.
