    Hi there,
I own one of those old Rock’n Ride Chairs. Right now it is disassambled and I don‘t know if the board is ok.
I was thinking of using the VM110 board and FSUIP on FSX. But I would need a jump start on what to aquire and what to connect where.

Any ideas? Should I rather use an Arduino?

    Regards
    Arne

arduino is super simple, you dont have to hack anything, construct from the ground up is a lot easier than "hack" what some one did.
    - try buing a chinese arduino clone and some motor drivers (also cheap)
    - buy a wiper motor (and old, dirty, used one on a junk yard)
    - connect all the pieces to simtools following the instructions on the forum

you will learn a lot and then you can jump to easely modify your rocknride

mounting the hole "model" stuf (the arduino, motor diver and motor and simtools) will take you 2 hours or less depending on your skills, then you will have a super clear view of what you need... trust me, it is super easy
