Locking Mechanism - Prevent back driving when not powered

    Wondering what everyone is using as a locking mechanism to stabilize their sim when not being powered? I have a 2 DOF compact seat mover (attachment under the chair instead of at shoulders) and I'd like to use it for games that don't have motion without having to be powered on. The motors are easily back driven when not powered so wondering what others use to lock their seat in place for a solid motion-free experience.

    Thanks @noorbeast. I thought about something similar or maybe a locking pin on the lever arms. However, I don't feel this would make it feel sturdy enough. I have a bit of rotational play/backlash in my u-joint (around the virtical axis). Probably only a degree either way but that makes the chair feel flimsy when mounting in and out. Generally once there's weight in it there's no issue.

    Is that kind of play in the u-joint normal?

    There should not really be perceptible play in a uni joint.

    On my compact rig I use 60:1s, for their torque, and they can't be back driven even after years of use. 50:1s when new can't be back driven, but they can once they have been worn in.
