    He guys,

Just fired up my 2 Dof and something was rattling inside my right-motor.
Opened it up and there was a most terrible thing I ever saw.
    It is a ZYT90-155-24-3000 with an matching worm-wheel 1:50 from https://www.motioncontrolproducts.co.uk/products/8/24/12vdc-traction-motor-zyt90-155-04-nm/

I already wrote them an E-mail.

But how is the piece called in English?
And also the rubber part between the motor and the worm-wheel side?

    20200429_213959.jpg

Or is this a common problem, and you guys have multiple part numbers, which also can be found in " The Netherlands"

    TIA
    Race on

    He @Daguru

Thanks the reply. Do you have any idea how these pieces are called? Or maybe you have a part number?

    Thanks,

    Bakhol

If I would to guess I would say motor coupler and bush.

    But that’s a guess.

The ones Motion Dynamics sell in Australia are called Motor/Gearbox Spider Coupling Set: https://www.motiondynamics.com.au/motor-gearbox-spider-coupling-set-metal.html

    @noorbeast

Thanks for the info. I sorted it out with the guys in England.
Got 4 sets of these couplings for just the freight charge.

    Thanks anyhow

Was it the plastic/rubber bush that had failed ?

What spec motor and gear ratio do you use ?

All in the additional question. (I think, or nodo I not thinking. That is the question)

To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them. To die—to sleep,
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to: 'tis a consummation
    Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there's the rub:
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause—there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
Th'oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of dispriz'd love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office, and the spurns
That patient merit of th'unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? Who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscovere'd country, from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will,
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all,
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pitch and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry
And lose the name of action.

What caused its damage? Is the load too heavy?

This may be the reason. The strength problems of aluminum parts cause damage over time.
