Motor will go in one way only

    Hey everyone!

    I've recently started making a seat mover simulator and I wanted to start by moving small motors and see if I can figure it out before going all in. I've followed racingMat tutorial and the arduino tutorial available on the site. My question is once I upload the code on my arduino, I will turn the pot and it won't start moving until 50% ccw, but before that it should turn cw. Thats for my left motor, while the right one works ok but it goes faster ccw than cw and inverting the wires.. well invert the problem so I can rule out the motors I guess.
    It seems to points at my MotoMonster, what other steps would you do to diagnose the problem? Is there some value that I should change to the code provided I use the same 10k pot and wiring is similar to the tutorial.
    I'm sort of a noob in coding and I don't even know if I should do something else beside run arduino, upload the code and try it out.

    Edit: On the right motor that goes slower in one way that the other, V is 9.4 while it is only 4.3 on the other rotation. Input to the MotoMonster is a steady 12v from a computer power supply (for testing).
