A 6DOF is an ambitious first project, so spend some time researching.

You will find plenty in the FAQs to get your started: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

    Including a 6DOF section: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/6dof.22/category

There is a glossary for all those acronyms we tend to use, which will help you decipher some descriptions: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

Feel free to ask questions on your build thread, the members here give freely of both their time and expertise.

    Good luck with your project.

    Plan to use linear servomotors?

    Something like this?

Hello. No, the system will be different. One drive, one axle. Rotate the chair radius of 1 meter 360 degrees. chair tilt + - 90 degrees, tilt forward and backward 45 degrees (90 like, but this greatly increases the size of the structure). Two more axes are linear (forward, backward) (left, right). Another axis, this is a platform up and down (I think it will be enough + - 200 mm) Something like that.

Since I was engaged in repairing industrial CNC machine tools, I had the idea to make a chair for an industrial robot, then you fly in all the poems.

    Sory.
Hello. I read a lot of information and decide to make a 4DOF simulator for starters. And the AC drive so far I have
only 4dof. I want to control the step / dir signals.

Wouldn't it be very difficult to be stronger than a simcraft rig, cause its center of mass is balanced inside the cage?

Thanks for the answer. I'm confused, don’t know what to do. I wanted to do on such a principle (https://www.motion-sim.cz/new/?page=home&article=15&menu=79), but my friend went on this, and he did not like it. Can I do 6 DOF? How much is 6DOF better than others? I will have actuators with a stroke of 450 mm.

Good day. I reviewed a lot of information, I decided to do it on your controller. Actuators are almost ready for me. Servo control step / dir. I understand that I need AMC-AASD15A.

Yes, but the controller is out of stock right now until I get more parts. It was sold out because of Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale...
    https://www.tindie.com/products/tronicgr/amc-aasd15a-servo-motion-controller/

Make sure to use AASD-15A servos with it to be plug and play with ready DB25 male-male cables... You don't want to experiment with other servos and custom cables...

Unless you wanted buy actuators from PT-Actuator supplier, he also sells the AMC-AASD15A controller along his actuators kit...

    Thanks

Hello Tanos. It makes no sense for me to take the kit from the PT-Actuator, since cam motors and drivers have already been purchased. I am a professional electronics engineer, I have no connection problems. At the same time, I work on the repair of industrial CNC machines. I have a GS-AS15BF servo driver. I can assemble your block myself, I have everything for this. What about the firmware code? I am ready to pay for your service.
    Best regards
    Ivan.

    Hi Ivan,

Do you have manual of the GS-AS15BF driver? I wanted to see if it supports Torque reach signal output that is needed for the automatic calibration...

    *Edit
    Is it this one?

Do you have a manual for it? The one in the link looks incomplete. It doesn't show the parameters to set the functions for the output pins or torque related parameters...
