I have a VR rollercoaster which I want to modify for flight simulator. My main challenge is to find a way to connect a joystick to the system (for example Thrustamaster T Flight Hotas4).

No. 1 (capsule 1) computer calls the value in the MBD database, sends a command to the control card through Rj45, and then the control card sends a command to the servo drive. Then the servo drive controls the motor.

Hello! My name is Al, and I’m a newby to IT & electronics. I have a VR rollercoaster which I want to turn into VR flight simulator. My major challenge now is connect joystick to the rig. Just to make the rig move in accordance with joystick movement. Oh, I see.

I have tested my AMC-AASD15A servo controller with Dorna M1, but haven't tested it yet for compatibility with Dorna EPS-B1, although the parameters should be the same:
    https://github.com/tronicgr/AMC-AASD15A-Firmware/tree/master/DornaM1_interface

The AMC-AASD15A controller will replace the Vegafu RS485 interface, by connecting to each servo drive directly on their 44pin connector.

Can you take a photo of the 44pin connector on the Dorna EPS-B1 drives you have??

    Thanks
    Thanos

Gosh, its not the simple 44pin connectors. Do you happen to have manual for this Dorna servo drive that to see what the pins assignments should be?

    There are 3 Dorna here:
    EPS-B2-0003AA-A300 (roll movement)
    EPS-B2-04D5AA-A300 (tilt movement)
    EPS-B2-0001AA-A300 (pan movement)
they are connected consequently after SMC x_24.
Each previous dorna is connected to the following via Port 1 cn 1 (RJ45). Output cable (Rj45) from Port 2 (cn 1) goes to next Dorna’s port 1 (Rj45)

Thanos, meanwhile we are brainstorming on advances joystick connection, what do you think. If we could use simple joystick like this (picture below). How I could connect it to make an experiment?

Example of the file which makes VR Rollercoaster move. Ups, website does not allow .mdb (Microsoft Access Database) upload.
Is it possible to emulate Joystick commands

Ok, finished with the pins assingment for the 50pin connector on the EPS-B1 servo drive. See schematic:
