That is a compact design, so you likely need all the torque you can get, nothing like these, with 60:1 gearboxes: https://www.motiondynamics.com.au/1...ve-geared-motor-200w-21-256-rpm-7.5-45nm.html

Another observation to think about, levers and rods are most effective in terms of torque utilisation when operating at no more than 40 degrees up and down, with the levers being at 90 degrees to the direction of applied force when the seat is level. Your rig would likely work better, even with the current motors, if the levers pointed forward, parallel to to the ground, with the rods perpendicular when the seat is at rest position.

I initially used the MD 200W 25:1 motors on my compact rig, I still have those motors but switched to 60:1 gearboxes because of the better torque for a compact design.

ok maybe try those and in the future update the box. One doubt needs less torque with the engines further back and rods on the back?

That would be perfect for the 25:1s.

The 60:1s are really suit a compact designs that need plenty of torque.

hello again, I saw your post @noorbeast and very beautiful you simulator congratulations, I saw that in version 1 you had the engines that I ordered 200w 180rpm 25: 1 and you had only two, the question is if it felt somewhat limited? or was going well fart decided you change the boxes

I changed the 25:1s to 60:1s for a number of reasons. First was load carry capacity, the 60:1s can handle users of around 140+kg. Second was that 60:1s can't be back driven, so I can use my rig as an office seat when un-powered.

    Hi @miguel,
I also used the 1:25 motors and bought them from MotionDynamics with immense shipping costs to Germany. (Should have contacted the vendor MotionControlProducts in the UK instead.)
Then I changed from shoulder mount to a more compact design, and since I did not want to spend another hundreds of Euros for new gear boxes, I built a 1:5 chain gear by myself. The components were rather cheap. See here for some details. It worked quite well, but in the meantime I switched to second hand wheelchair motors.
    Good luck with your build!

Of course I will review it, and if it is a big money .
I will send it however I will be putting as I go with the progress, what time it took to get your motors to apologize?
