    Hi all,
    it's time to present you my 2DOF solution.
    After reading a lot in this community and inspired from simulators like silentchills and other great builders, I decide to build my own. The goals for that sim was cheap, easy and the use of brushless components. After some digging I found a project that combines the power of cheap brushless motors with the accuracy of stepper motors. In addition, it understands serial commands and one circuit board can drive two motors. And the best, it costs 150$. If you are interessted in, have a look at https://odriverobotics.com/.
    The ODrive guys are still adding new features and debugging their software, but now I have a version that will be able to drive my 2DOF. It connects via USB direct to the game machine and understands the commands direct from the game engine. No need for additional Arduinos or other stuff.

    Here the pictures of my solution:

    i like the actuators - do you have any idea how much load they can lift ?

    Thanks guys.

    @thecure
    have a look at https://www.xsimulator.net/simtools-motion-simulator-software/#plugins

    @hooshang
    what do you need?

    @Gadget999
    unfortuntely not. But during the testing, NoLimits2 shakes my father (120kg) without getting warm.
    If your PSUs have enough power you can get 2000W out of the motor. https://hobbyking.com/de_de/kd-53-30-high-voltage-brushless-outrunner-190kv.html
    In the firmware of ODrive you can set the maximum current for each motor. I set only 35A as maximum. It's about 1200 W. It's possible to read the amount of the current out of the management interface of ODrive.
    But I didn't do that for now. Nothing gets warm and the power is more than expected.

    Greetings / Zennix

    those motors have some punch ! - what rpm and gear ratio do you run on them ?

    Do you perhaps have a shopping list that you could share with us? Would be nice to have a cheap alternative to the scn5/6 for 2 dof and 3 dof systems. Thanks

    Your project is very interesting, can I use this programming with hoverboard motors? because they have high torque and are three-phase brushless, that would be great. I have several ideas for them using the odrive
