    Hello,

Im working on a project with a pneumatic controlled platform with a chair on. I have bought all components and I just have to get the software working before i start putting them together. My simulator is buildt for Nolimits rollercoaster sence i have an old driving simulator i made years ago. I have two cylinders with 60mm bore, ardurino, reley-card, a 8-bar compressor and oculus rift. The cylinders should give me about 1800N or 160kg force each.
I have worked with automation for about 10 years. First offshore and now robots for agriculture, so all the hardware is known for me.

For controlling the motion my goal is to get the air-flow in the cylinders with 3 different air-tubes. 4mm, 6mm, 8mm. A combination of these three hopefully gives me a smooth enough movement so i can use potentiometer feedback on the position.

Also I will use a firm spring that goes half way up the piston on the cylinders, so that the chair (with load) will float at 50% ish extention with no pressure.

Dont have any pictures yet. I want to get the software part up and running with the reley to the air valves before i start welding the frame.

Any tips and ideas are welcome. Havent build anything with simtools before, so this is new to me.

Got some updates. The pneumatic build takes some time, so i went for a version with two wiper motors first, so i can play with the software. Got som pics from the build here 20180711_223239.jpg

Now I got the simulator up running. Got movement, but not all correct. Have to figure out the axis. It moves when i Test output in sim tools, but not sideways. Pitch work, but when i roll I have just one motor moving.

The Dir checked orange or not in Axis Assignments determines which way each axis moves and this is how SimTools expects it to be configured: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/which-way-to-set-simtool-axis-movements.230/

Some final pictures on the 2Dof NoLimits simulator. Working on a 6Dof, and my girlfriend wants to have one of the cars in the garage when the snow comes:grin So this will be dismounted now.
