Ive gone as far as i think i can with a static build and ready for motion.
ive a wooden rig made from 2x4 and plywood. got the vr and ready for more. i have my rig decked out so its pretty heavy . just picked up a couple of wipers motors from a auto yard . there 12volt and kind small . i think i can go a full rig movement.think the delay would kill me not to mention the over heating that might occur.
maybe just a seat mover with 2 dof , just wondering how noticeable the seat moving and not the wheel or pedals? anyone else go through this? and what was the first reaction? my rig 1.JPG my rig 1.JPG 12 port usb hub 2.0.JPG my rig 1.JPG 12 port usb hub 2.0.JPG arduino with l298n dual h for pedal shakers.JPG my rig 1.JPG 12 port usb hub 2.0.JPG arduino with l298n dual h for pedal shakers.JPG truck wiper motors.JPG

I would start 2dof but you can get away with wiper motors for 6dof I was inspired by merchan2525 youtube clip and had surprising success building one

I guess my biggest concern is losing parts from being knocked off. i will have to lighten the load which shouldn't be much of an issue.

Thanks buddy, Ive downloaded the .io file and i will be going over the page soon , i still haven't gotten the sim tools yet. , i applied for the builders free version and maybe soon. i just spent a crapton on amazon for some of the things to get this rig moving. i still have to get a drive shaft from a junk yard but that is going to have to wait until next week. the amazon is a free shipping but i think its 6 to 8 days before i can receive it. ive also picked up some extra fans and another arduino and adding a wind sim on on the rig. and still ironing out the pedal shakers that im using with simhub. it seems that a league is starting on simpit with pc2 and looking forward to get racing. what about you? any racer favorites?

You will need to progress your build to the testing phase and then apply, as per the eligibility conditions here: https://www.xsimulator.net/request-diy-key-simtools/

Think lower is better for stability just not so low the pedals hit the floor

over came the issue with the earth ground with the motor with an external fuse box and maybe a ground bar under the rig.
we'll see . dont think theres going to be an issue with a wooden frame anyway but.....maybe put a ground wire on the outside of the motor anyway for safe keeping? not sure.
