This is an example of a package that caught their attention. It was a half dozen ballscrews. The package was delayed but did finally arrive. The total cost was under the limits so no charges were incurred.

The problem was that you didn't answer when I asked you the amount you put on the package, because I have to make a declaration here before getting the package and the amount has to be the same you put. Anyway...
I have a friend that is going to the states in some days, I will ask him his address there so you just have to send it locally, and I will put it here, as I don't get much attention in kickstarter.

Its true, sometimes I cannot even get back to emails for days. what happened happened. Let me know the address of your friend and I'll ship it to him right way. Email me on my GMAIL account to make sure I receive the notification, I don't use the older Yahoo account anymore. ( Tronigr @ Gmail . Com )

    Thanks

So, does anyone know how to wire this board to MMs? and has anyone gotten it to work?

You can hook up the MM to the PWM outputs of the Amc1280usb main board. There are marked as Out1, Pwm1, Out2 for example. The Out1 and Out2 provide the logic signal for the direction, and the PWM1 is the sped output.

Don't forget to also loop back to the analog inputs of the Amc1280usb the position sensors.

I have some good news as well. I'm working with @yobuddy to integrate the 6DOF plugin driver for the Amc1280usb into simtools. I already got link and some data transferred, just need some adjustment on the data format in the simtools interface part to have soon a real inverse kinematics math solution for 6DOF platforms available in simtools as well.

See more info on the 6dof plugin driver here:

Also for those that don't follow my youtube channel, I wanted to let them know, that the AMC1280USB can be used to convert ready 6DOF platforms with servomotors (chinese manufactured) so their owners can jailbreak them from using their locked motion software. A fellow Greek from Australia got this Cruden clone 6DOF platform that has no support from the manufacturer and had available only pCars... now he can connect it to x-sim, Ian's BFF 6DOF software and soon in Simtools as well.

    Thanks

Good news? I don't know because it sounds like only a 6DOF inverse kinematics driver for your Amc1280usb and not a 6DOF inverse kinematics solution for Simtools. If you really want to contribute something substantial to this community (DIY) then everyone would be able to use it and not just those that buy something from you. If I misunderstood and it will work with other microcontroller options also then my bad and kudos to you :thumbs. Otherwise it looks like you only want Simtools to help you sell more of your product. But I suppose for some that's still better than nothing.

Excellent Thanos :thumbs. It's great to see this finally come to simtools. I understand that there may be some difficulty in making it work into multiple interfaces/controllers, but if it is possible then that would be great.

Funny, isnt it all about money ? People are investing time, some give things away for free, some not ..
Maybe he is also helping Simtools to sell some licences ?

As you said, for people which have no clue in programming its better than nothing ... For me this AMC (maybe) would be the only way to connect my servos to Simtools when my friend quits doing his software (hopefully not) ..

Thank you. This new 6DOF plugin driver is not my development. Its totally revamped over the years and its more accurate than before. I just offered to link those two (simtools and 6dof plugin) as currently works only with x-sim. The problem is that simtools is programmed in VB .NET, while the plugin is pure C++. I work on the custom C++ Mapped Memory File wrapper to do the connection.

    hexpod about.jpg

About having the plugin support multiple interfaces or other controller, its not as easy as you may think. The code is optimized for fast link with the AMC1280USB using pure binary transfer mode with 250000bps speed and a single interface output. As far as I know, most arduino interfaces are transferring either simple characters or HEX Let alone other interfaces apart arduino are even more arbitrary. I don't see why the 6DOF plugin has to have to deal with that. Simtools have better output support for these other interfaces.

    Thanks

The Simtools now has decent 6DOF math support thanks to Hexpod team. The new Hexpod driver v1.2.6 is very stable and works wonders on testing I did on LFS:

Hopefully, will have some footage soon on using it a large scale 6DOF platform with Servomotors.

The Hexpod driver will be available from http://Hexpod.xyz
To clarify, its not my development, I just helped interface it to Simtools (custom memory mapped wrapper between the two).

    Thanks

Nice :thumbs, but the only version that is available for download is V1.2.0...., or am I looking in the wrong place .

I said WILL be available there. Finishing a few starter profiles for a few games and tests on life size 6DOF platform. We may perhaps need some more beta testers...

Obviously this is a feature of x-plane not an issue. Otherwise they wouldn't have designed the data output this way…
