Hello! I am kompac de valencia españa, I am starting in this world of driving simulation, now I am starting a new 2Dof project with Arduino + shield moto monster + wiper motors. I'm investigating Simtools, for problems with other software at the moment. I hope to learn a lot and help as much as possible in this great community, and put my new simulator to work. I will post photos of the project soon

I'm Giancarlo From Italy (Monteporzio catone) near Rome.
I'm a computer scientist and have a lot of experience in networking servers programming languages.
I have a basic late(cnc modificated) and a cnc router and a 3d printer. With my cnc I'm also able to make artigianal pcb with exposure laser double face and 0.3 or 0.4 vias. A lot of experience with arduino and raspberry (I interfaced late and cnc laser with arduino - raspberry using modbus). So may be I'll able to make something I like to try simtool

hey everyone, my name is regis I'm from france and I'm waiting for my 2dof motion simulator to get built and delivered to my home but It seems that there is not a single space simulation compatible with motion simulator anymore (and not even speaking about motion cancellation problems) due to frequent update from developers ? am I correct about it or did I get the wrong impression ? I hope when my rig arrives I will at least still be able to play project cars 2 or the whole thing will just be a 3000 $ bunch of wooden-steel and plastic and total waste of money ?

    Welcome @nigaudloto.

There is a SimTools Elite Dangerous plugin, it does get broken by game updates from time to time but there is also a generic joystick plugin that can be used as a fill in. It is working fine at the moment, I was using it on the weekend.

Project Cars 2 also works great with SimTools.

Just so you know there is a specific thread section for commercial sims, if you have questions: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/simtools-for-commercial-purposes.159/

And Pro license support, as that license is required for SimTools use with commercial simulators: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/simtools-pro-entertainment-version.176/

I hope that eases your concerns a little.

Google Translate - Hello everyone. I am a newcomer on the forum. it's been a few months that I go to help me and give me ideas for my simulator project. I am building a 3dof yaw simulator with Arduino + motorcycle monster shield + wiper motors. I will soon post photos hi to all.

    Welcome @hoyang.

You can duel post in your native language but it is part of the Forum Rules that you also include an English translation: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/forum-rules.9527/

We have bi-lingual speakers from many different language groups so if Google Translate really messes it up they can help clarify what was intended.

Hello all I just came across this site while looking for a way to build a diy motion simulator. I'm currently in school in the US to become an Electrical Engineer and I really want to build a 3 or 6 DOF rig to play VR space sims on! I've never taken on a project of this magnitude but I'm really excited to try.

    Hello everyone! :)
As I'm also a new user I thought I introduce myself as well!
I use sim racing as a way to experience the art of drifting like I "can't" in real life. My goal is to get as close to the real thing as possible within my given possibilities.
What's left in my current setup is feeling (any kind of) the forces of a real car. So I figured the next step towards my goal is motion!
Therefore I joined this community and also started my very own build thread as of right now:
    https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/2-dof-seat-mover-build.11505/

If some of you feel like joining my journey I would love to her your feedback on my (current) progress. :thumbs

    Hi everyone!

I thought it would be the nice thing to do, to use my first post to introduce myself.
I am a 22 year old Automotive Engineering student living in The Netherlands. As I am in the fourth year of my study, I'm almost done with my education. The last thing left to do is a graduation assignment, which brings me to this forum. My assignment is to build a motion simulator for a company that produces carbon fibre parts, but also complete F1 style monocoques. As time is limited and graduation assignments assume that you develop a lot yourself, I'm not quite sure yet how far I'll come. Thinking of making a BRD style simulator, for which I'll develop the whole motion calculation in Simulink by using the game's exported vehicle dynamics data. I could use existing programs, but that probably wouldn't be enough to pass.
I have some electronics experience and have fooled around with arduino's before. I have done some multibody simulations in Matlab and Simulink before. Still in need of a lot of help on some problems I'm afraid (no motion simulator experience so far), but looking at all the response I see on the forum, I think I'm in good hands here.
