Guys I have a question for you, for you it is best to connect the motors to the potentiometers using gear / belt system or a joint like this?

A lot of us connect pots (hall effect highly suggested) with that joint

The correct size flexible coupling is the way to go.

This type of flexible coupling are the strongest:

Ok perfect, now I just have to wait for all the components :D

Tho this style does come at a cost, and for what reason you would need any type of real strength in this part is beyond me. The Pots internal resistance will be the only force it technically sees. o_O

Edit, turns out Craig has "untwisted" a few of the cheap ones, but still Highly unlikely on a Seat mover.

But this type is not flexible to side forces like is needed for pots. This is good for motor to ball screw couplings for example but the the other type is better for pots.

In fact 22 Euros for the joints is a bit too much, I think I will aim on those entirely of metal, which cost about half.

Exactly, my pots are some 1/2 degrees misaligned and a flexible coupler was mandatory. But even if it would have ben perfectly aligned there are forces from the motors that make the structure torx, expecially in fast changes of direction (gear changes, bumps, ...)

No need to spend that much. I bought something like these for 2,5€ each...

It's almost everything, just look the aluminum from motedis.de, and psu and fans. :D

I only have one doubt, the potentiometers (Sakae 10K fcp22e) are very hard to turn, it is normal for you?

    you made the cardstock :)
I can give you some tips on connecting potentiometers, for safety and, if you have the opportunity to use a lathe, put the potentiometers on the opposite side of the lever, this will save you in the event that the lever has a lap full, simply pierce the 'crankshaft and use a screw collar where to insert the flexible coupling

You're right, I had not thought of this, I will assess whether to pierce the shell of gear motors, I would not make irreversible changes.
I bought many cards in anticipation of my future project or a 4dof, 3DOF consists of 4 engines with lifting effect more traction loss.

It is advice but do it, you could solve many problems and damage in the future, especially once you start, it's not hard work enough to be precise as to pierce the 'tree.
so you're ready for a future upgrade and I think that makes more sense, though ritego, although amande seat cover movement, which heave must be on the whole structure and not only the seat but at the level of sensations prefer to put the loss of traction
