Hi everyone,

I have a hoverboard motor and a rotary encoder. I don’t have access to MKS or ODESC(or similar) controllers, and unfortunately I won’t be able to get them in the near future due to ridiculous customs regulations in my country — we can’t use Amazon or AliExpress here, and local sellers don’t have these parts either. So I’m stuck using Arduino or an STM32 board.

To drive this motor with my board, I’m considering using this driver module: YQD-V7.3E(or similar)

Can I use this...

hi im Max

so basically i’m starting my journey to build a DIY Direct Drive wheel using a hoverboard motor and an ODESC V4.2 board. I’ve been researching the setup, but I have a doubt regarding the board voltage versions

I was advised to go with the 56V version of the ODESC instead of the 24V one to be "safe and future-proof," with the idea being that a higher voltage rating prevents the board from frying during high-torque peaks or "crazy events."
so my question is

Is it true...

Hey everyone,

I’m working on a DIY sim racing steering wheel project and having some issues. I started with a belt-driven system, but the belt keeps slipping over the teeth and making a lot of noise. It also limits how fast I can turn the wheel because if I turn it too fast, the belt just jumps over the teeth—super frustrating.

I’m thinking about switching to a direct drive setup for better performance, but I can’t afford a new motor since the only one that fits my needs is too expensive....

Hi everyone this is my project with a 850W MY1020 motor. I´ll start with one BTS7960 H bridge and a 12V 10 Amp power supply and then when everything works properly upgrade to 3 H bridges and probably a 1000w power supply. The encoder is belt-driven because i don´t have the tools to do a proper direct drive to the motor shaft but i have a 3D printer so i can easy do it that way. will be driven by a gt2 belt with 2:1 gear ratio to duplicate the ppr of the encoder.
i let you some renders of the...
