Factor Demo, Nolimits Demo... can't get working.

    Hi everyone,

    I introduced myself last night on the forum, and give the low down about me moving from console to pc, and thus VR and 2dof.

    Its a amazing what you guys have established together, I look forward to being a player to do my part.

    Well, I am stuck at the first hurdle.

    I currently have 2 x scn5's wired into my HTPC (killer machine coming later, just testing prior to new build) via USB. I have not even started my build. I want to understand everything first on the software side first.

    I have paid the year for xSimulator, downloaded, and the 2 demos in the title.
    I have used the slider test in software and have been able to move my Scn5's.

    I patched both games.

    Rfactor states game connected in game manager, but nothing happens in the software, no sliders moving, and no actuator movement.

    NoLimits, doesn't even say connected.

    So either i am doing something wrong, or demos not supported?

    Could be lots of things, but for one, for motion in no-limits you have to activate 'telemetry' - don't know if that is even available in the Demo. I don't use Rfactor. Also, hope you are on the right site, we use SimTools and not Xsimulator.

    I don't think the current NL2 plugin supports the demo, though an older one did for an earlier version. Not sure about Rfactor.

    The demo LFS does work and I would suggest using that just to get things moving, then we can assist in sorting various plugin issues, knowing that your sim actually works.

    I'll look into turning on telementry for no limit

    GOOD NEWS - I got Rfactor working

    ISSUE: NOT USING ZIP FILE
    WHY: I downloaded from macbook to nas, then remote into HTPC to install (copy from was to desktop). But I only had a folder, and thought the zip info must be out of date.
    *****It turns out my mac unzipped on the fly leaving me only the folder! damn it! - apple trying to be too fancy!

    I'll look into LFS.

    All exciting stuff. Thanks guys
