Sure my dear @value1 ... also liked your idea of renting a 911 Porsche to copy the outer shape or a Ferrari :thumbs ...
just cover it with it's own dust cover and start your 3d natural copy machine .
    31951.JPG

Actually I DON'T like Foam products for carving at all " I already tried before" It's messy, unrepairable, and can melt and loose it's shape almost by any thing  WTF .

just for a search words reference "wire mesh carving or sculpture " " 3d wireframe car body " .

    Thanks @Albertus ...
General specs as a start is :
    - A tower PC which is running the Live for Speed Game and should have Sim Tools program soon ... "right not it is using an old simulator program " ...

    - 2DOF two controller cards similar to the Old AMC1.5 but with modification all over it that converted it into a perfect solution for All DIY'rs "I'm preparing to publish it soon " ...

    - A modification to the output signals since I'm not using DC motors with H-bridges ... I'm using 3 VFD's "Variable frequency drive " that controls 1/2HP AC geared motors ...
motors are with sprockets and a driving chain driving a sliding up/down shaft that provides the platform with motion ...

    - Now preparing the simulator to be a closed capsule with all car interior design Speakers, Dash board, center console, ... that will make driving more realistic including the ambient air speed to be variable with the car speed or using it just like an internal AC "air condition" of the car ...

    Hi Speedy,
I'm going to enjoy watching this thread of "your actual build"....

BTW - Are you using the "free version" of Sketch-Up or did you go the 500.00 route??

    Have a blessed one,

    Tom

Thanks guys ... really appreciate your replies ... from my behalf I'm very lucky having you all too ... Good Friends worth a lot.

Congratulations to me for photos and videos are back :grin ...

Thinking big is NOT my idea Mike @AceOfSpies ... The Sculptor nick name "Meto" the one with the brown jersey and blue jeans in video ... one day "10-15Y" he asked me to make hem an "Electrical Control Panel" for a big sculpture of Egypt mainland with flashing and running lights details for demonstrating the pipe lines of a petroleum company named SUMED " Suez-Mediterranean pipeline" that runs all across the country from the Red sea till the Mediterranean sea ...
The sculpture is presented in front of the big owners in one of the company events and was a Big Magnet to Every one in the presentation meeting ... and a smash hit for Meto :thumbs because he is a good sculptor .
Now when I asked Meto for his help doing the fiberglass dashboard ... He insisted to make it a full scale capsule ... what should I say then ?
