Question? Is it better to have your yaw damping assy. at the front or rear of your platform? and should it hinge in or out? Any suggestions.

Is this device taking the place of, or possibly fixing a problem with a worn universal joint?

No, the yaw damping is a hinged device that from what I have seen on "Platform" simulators is mounted under the platform . Some are in the front and some are in the rear and some are hinged out and some inward. I think it gives the platform some stability too.

I've never needed one, so unfortunately cannot comment on your device

Ok its like a saris link will stop the top base from having any yaw movement. The use of a strong cars universal joint and this is not needed. But will add to the overall stability of the sim. Can be hinged either way as long as the resulting pitch movement is less than the overall flat height of the hinged A frame.
