Question yaw and surge, sway, heave acceleration.

    For helos I'd recommend roll, pitch, yaw, and heave. Surge and sway are relevant but I believe they will just cause vestibular confusion most of the time in a helo sim unless flying highly maneuverable aircraft such as an Apache.

    Thank you. I will certainly try those in that case.

    Another thing was simulated turbulence effects. Within DCS, in particular the Huey there’s lots of visible vibration (mip) and buffeting especially in high wind situations. Can these forces be simulated by motion platforms also?

    It's already in the dof's. How much you feel though depends on the rig. The lower you can go with tuning numbers the better.
