Hi, This is Jason from Korea.

I've been a SimTool user since I'd found this superb tool last week.
This works great and makes me start my simulator easily.

My favorite games are Assetto Corsa, Richard Burns Rally and LFS,

SimTool with the plugins for both Assetto Corsa and RBR works perpect!
But SimTool with LFS plugin isn't working properly.
So I've tested other games such as DiRT3, F1 2011, 2012, and I figured out that the results are the same as LFS.

My simulator is fluctuating left and right even though I did nothing and just keep pushing the brake pedal to maintain car is stopped on LFS.

I saw the values and virtual axis is significantly changing at that time.

    wrong data.png

When I'm in the car not moving at all, The Axis1 and Axis2 is moving so fast from left end to the right end.

In my case, All games which exports the telemetry via UDP packets do not work properly.
I'm suffeing same problem with those games.

I use one PC for both gaming and controlling motion sim. using SimTools.
    So I don't think it's network problem.

How can I fix this problem?
Please help me find out my problem.

In addition, Backgrounds and Icons are disoreded on GameManager.
Anyone can let me know how to fix this?

    My Circumstance.
    OS : Windows 7 - 64bit with KR/KO(Korean/Korea) local.

    Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for the lightening reply.

Do you mean adjusting dpi on this screen below?

as i see a game is running and perhaps the in game resolution is different than the one you have usual (desktop) and causes what you are experiencing.
it was a loud thought of mine :think

    Yes, It's default setting.
I've never been changed it as of the OS installation.

Anyway It's not a big deal.

The most important thing for me is wrong data comes from the game which export the telemetry via UDP.

Please help me resolve this issue.

Thanks again for your replies, yobuddy.

I was playing LFS in window mode.
I can see the icon-disordered screen of GameManager when I'm not playing any games.

What happens to my PC? :(

I'm not sure why game engine looks right but game manager does not to be honest with you.
I'll think about it some more thou.

The data coming into the tuning center for some games may appear to be changing even when stopped.
But if you look closely, it is just very small numbers (1.234E) with an e on the end I believe.
Try turning the in game car's engine off, and see if the numbers come to a stop.

Just so you know, there is no reason the LFS should not work, I build the entire software with the use of this awesome game.

I'm so curious why this issue occurs to only me. :(

Now, I doubt that this problem happens because of my locale setting of my OS below.

yobuddy, please upload the locale settings.
    Thanks for your continuous support.

I've changed the locale with the same as yours,
but I still get wrong data.

When I captured the values with tuning center,
    These values came out below.

    <engine OFF>

<engine ON with no movement. - Those values keep changing as time goes by.>

If those are your current max/min values, then there is your problem. (you must have altered them?)
it should, by default, look something like this...

    <_GameName>LiveforSpeed</_GameName>
    <_RollMax>19.860834815209</_RollMax>
    <_RollMin>-19.860834815209</_RollMin>
    <_PitchMax>16.3079245113267</_PitchMax>
    <_PitchMin>-9.78842305002035</_PitchMin>
    <_HeaveMax>11.0103282928467</_HeaveMax>
    <_HeaveMin>-8.76547813415528</_HeaveMin>
    <_YawMax>179.907758171447</_YawMax>
    <_YawMin>-179.907758171447</_YawMin>
    <_SwayMax>19.8436809311393</_SwayMax>
    <_SwayMin>-19.8436809311393</_SwayMin>
    <_SurgeMax>9.77720642089844</_SurgeMax>
    <_SurgeMin>-18.9756984710693</_SurgeMin>
    <_Extra1Max>18.7608158677026</_Extra1Max>
    <_Extra1Min>-18.7608158677026</_Extra1Min>
    <_Extra2Max>0</_Extra2Max>
    <_Extra2Min>0</_Extra2Min>
    <_Extra3Max>0</_Extra3Max>
    <_Extra3Min>0</_Extra3Min>

It looks like you have created a new Max/Min file for LFS with extremely low Max/Min values?
You may have clicked "Capture New Min Max" and them clicked "Reset" and "Save new Max Min", without driving around in the game to get good values?
In short, your mix min values are way to low.

you could always just reinstall the LFS plugin (install it as a zip) to fix it.
Or copy and paste my values in.

Oh, I didn't make myself clear.
Let me explain about my situation step by step.

My LFS min/max values were exactly the same as yours above,
but My simulator didn't work propely with LFS.

I re-installed the plugin but still the same.

So I captured what values came from the plugin,
and then I posted the values on the reply ahead of this.

I tended to show you what values were coming out on my PC.

The values are quite different from the default value.
the values are much bigger or smaller than the default one.

I think the values have to be within the default range when the car is not moving even if the engine is turned on,
but my values are exceed the range.

    What happens to me? :(

If you need more information, Please let me know.

    I don't understand?

"values are quite different from the default value"
The data captured from LFS is directly from LFS.

When you drive around, the values should change with the game?

OMG!! I found what was wrong.
LFS and the others which had the same problem with exporting wrong telemetry values work flawlessly.

This issue occurred to me because of the locale settings.
Those who use unicode languages will suffer the same issue with me.

    Here is the solution.

    Great Job @jamesdio!!

Could you tell what it was set on?
Maybe I could set my PC to the option that makes it not work, and then figure out what is causing it in the code.
    Thanks for your efforts!

@RaceRay - this info should be copied somewhere - maybe a frequently asked questions list?

question? - "UDP games produce wrong output data "
answer - ..."check the Language for non Unicode programs..."
    solution found by: jamesdio

maybe even a faq list people could post helpful info to like this?
    Anyway, great job @jamesdio!

I couldn't even think about trying to change my locale setting without your support.
    Thank you very much, yobuddy.

I think this issue will be able to occur to those who use the language pack for Korean, Chinese and Japanese.

I'm using korean language pack on my windows 7.

When I get home I'll post the screen shot of my setting.

Anyway, Simtool is the best application ever for me!
It's very easy to use and supports more games than any other motion simulator tools, even It is free!!!

    It's just AWESOME!!

Thank you, yobuddy for making great tool!

    Thanks @jamesdio!

It took a lot of work to get it to this stage, @value1 has been a large part of it's success.
Without people like him and users like you, we would still be in the dark ages! lol
