    Hi everybody, thanks for all the information on this site. Hopefully I can add some more useful information as I work through my build process.

    Unfortunately I am about 2 weeks into the build so I have 99% of the fabrication complete.

    The specs are the following:

    * frame based off of DOF reality design
    7/8" thin wall square tubing and 1" x 3.5" square tubing 152$

    * Wiper motors and wiper assemblies from 1997 GMC trucks ( 3 wipers, 2 assemblies) Local wreckers 97$

    * Drive shaft from a GMC truck ---- Local wreckers 20$

    * Wheels from a roller blade skate ------- Charity store 20$

    * Bride Racing seat ----- Local store 450$

    * T150 Thrustmaster wheel and pedals -----Walmart I think 120$

    * Arduino UNO or Mega not sure which is best for me yet -----Aliexpress 15$

    * Moto monster motor drivers ----- Aliexpress 24$

    * Heatsinks -------- Aliexpress 12$

    * Power supply 12V 60Amp ------------- Aliexpress 60$

    * Battery 12V --------------- Local Price ?? battery to take stress off of PSU during motor startup.

    I am surprised at the amount of time this project is taking but its coming along. I tried a steering knuckle for the pivot but it had too much play and I didn't feel it was strong enough when you get weight swinging around 3 feet away from the joint so I switched to a driveshaft U joint.

    The wiper motors gave me some trouble too, 1997 wiper motors have circuit boards inside them that need to be disabled and wired around. They use a push pin connector to plug the board and cover into motor section. So the circuit board is ground off, disabling it and wires soldered around the board.

    The other wiper problem is they have an internal frame grounding so I printed some mounts to electrically isolate the three motors because they would short circuit each other depending on direction.

    I used the stock wiper assembly and it seems to work great, it has plastic sockets that seem to give a tiny bit of cushion. Just cut and weld to size, done. upload_2018-12-9_21-9-27.jpeg Painted base level

    The seat i didn't really want to buy but love it already, going to swap between the Datsun and sim rig.

    Anyway I will cover the wiring portion closely as it progresses, when ever these parts show up.

    Today's progress:

    Finish paint
    Fabricate pedal plate
    Fabricate foot rest
    Assembly
    Move it all to the computer room

    Now waiting for parts but I can at least try it out without motion like the pioneers did.
