Where is the flaw in the design?

    My Motion Simulator:
    2DOF, Arduino, 4DOF
    I'm currently gathering parts and researching for my next simulator, would be most possibly a 3 or 4dof like Vesaro's or maybe like this one in a smaller scale:

    Later I found a lot of clones of this kind, but some has that center rail:

    I think it is solving a flaw in the design, but I can't find which flaw is that. Any help?
