As im on a strict budget, Before investing a lot of money in my simulator I want to have a proof of concept (espessially because Im a total n00b, learning as i go and trying to do my own circuits/programming etc)

Originally my idea was to create a model version, however this is becoming increasingly difficult and expensive since.

Ive already seen one created model on here which I liked, But I was wondering if anyone else put their programming to the test before putting into a real sim? and how did you do it? any cheaper ideas/alternatives. any pictures?

I built , then worked it out, still cost me about $500 to get first joyrider style sim going though. I just looked at photos and took measurements based on a guesstimate. It was a bit small inside, but I was using an existing static frame.

    Any questions, just holler!

    My Motion Simulator:
2DOF, DC motor, JRK, SimforceGT, 6DOF
I built a simple unit using a usb servo controller hooked to a simple pivot (workshop socket set uni)
and hooked two rc servos up and persto a simple model no code just use uso commands to the controller and ya have something to get use to driving xsim.

Next i moved onto finding out how i could use a dc motor as a servo. After many of nights of searching i found the Jrk12v12 in the usa and bought one got it up and running then Frakk onsite here found them too before i could post info but couldnt get it running, well i spilt the beans and that histroy now, I initally setup two bench test units before going ahead and building the sim.

I have built 4 different units, settled for the jrks runnig dual winches in a frex style been running strong for over 2 years now, only just had issues with the clutch in the winches, well weld them up, no slipping now, just havent done a vid in a long time.
A future project is to put electronics on my full size joyrider
