Hello All, does anyone have a suggestion on a good (and cheap) AC motor controller. I read about the VM140. I may be able to get my hands on some washing machine motors for a very good price!
    Thanks to all.
    Cheers, David.

tWell mate been doing some research here on this too.
Units Im looking at + quote
    http://www.delta.com.tw/product/em/drive/ac_motor/ac_motor_product.asp?pid=1&cid=1&itid=8

will control this unit through the k8055 pwm and digital outputs.
    $290 for controller - 240v single phase.
    $250 for motor - 3 phase.
240v gear aint cheap but impresive in power.
They assure me it should work and have invited me to their r&d workshop to test unit before purchase.
Can do in 2 weeks so i will post back more info and vid then.
I used these guys because they sponser a local saloon car at barbagallo raceway and when told what i using it for, Can we copy, answer free controllers, Nah but good discount, maybe some obsolete motor laying around but
    We'll see.
