    Hi guys,

Looking some help if possible about FORCE SENDER...
I have registered as I am coming back to PC gaming (new build in process) but have quite extensive experience with tactile feedback on products like Buttkicker, Aura and Clarke Tactile.

My own build has been experimental for over two years regards tactile immersion and currently is planned to use at least 16x tactile units and 5-7 subwoofers. I know this sounds insane but during my experimentation I discovered it is possible to utilise surround decoding to have what I dubbed surround tactile. I further experimented then using equalisers and crossovers to have the facility to adapt and have individual control of each channel to produce a much more intense tactile experience.

This isn't suitable for all forms of games, music or movies but with sims can be very impressive experience over using tactile just as a mono source. All my testing has been limited to consoles which of course can only utilise the audio for feedback and not direct ingame effects which is possible on PC.

I have read on a recent thread:
x-sim is very handy to send any kind of data to peripherials such as bass shaker (rpm or speed data from the sim), and rev counter, speedometer and of course motion motor (via a controller), LCD etc ...
x-sim can also be used wuthout motion (just other peripherials).

Can someone give more detail on this and what is possible...
What is outputted from the games?

    Engine noise?
    Road or track noise?

X-Sim generally exposes what the simulator makes available. Also note that what is generally output is data from the simulator and not sounds.

This means that instead of engine noise X-Sim will expose the engine RPM. This can then be worked with any way you want. You can turn this into a signal that would drive a speaker or output it on a display (for example).
