    Hello,
It is finally released and it is great game.
It will be perfect if it supports simtool.
why don't we ask devs to support telemetry output?

    let's make it happen.

I agree, i am hoping that this will be the idea very soon. i dont think that steam are those who should be contacted though.
i am very curious of the setting in the game , if there is support or so, maybe a plug in is the way to go?

devs keep watching steam thread. I think sometimes steam is better than reddit.
there is no telemetry output in game. of course somebody can make simtool plugin with memory hooking
but the problem is memory hooking can be broken when there is update. so i just ask devs to support telemetry output.

Good thinking, your ahead of me on the curb. i support your thoughts of coarse. i wonder how a developer would start off making a plugin for a game like this?

Devs don't make plugins. all they need to do is allow (add) telemtry outputs.
Somebody here need to make plugin though.

Agree 100% Let's please coerce someone here to make a plugin!

Also, if I could get some info to give the devs as to our requirements for them to support motion please post it here or PM me. I had this conversation with the Devs!:

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trip Rodriguez Would you guys be willing to cooperate with the guys at xsimulator.net to make your game compatible with motion simulators? It probably wouldn't take much work at all on your part and would make for great youtube videos to promote your game!

Vox Machinae Will be investigating it for inclusion in a future controls-focused patch. Doesn't look too difficult (famous last words). [IMG]:)

Noorbeast, this game has really nice X-Box controller rumble effect for the mech taking steps and for weapons. Is it possible to have a plugin that grabs rumble cues data for X-Box type controllers and use that to drive some limited effects in SimTools?

Even if it's only to drive my tactile transducers via SimTools that would be great, but maybe it would even be possible to create a "mech step" motion cue using this data?

As far as I understand it Game Vibe uses telemetry data, any other source @yobuddy would need to consider.

That said a 'step' is a combination of heave, roll and pitch, so it would be interesting to see what could be achieved with Game Vibe.

Thanks Noorbeast, I guess one "step" at a time (hehehe)... so @yobuddy is it possible to make a SimTools plugin capture the data games send to X-Box gamepad rumble?

Many games have X-Box rumble feature implemented beautifully and it would be great if we could grab that data to play with for games that we don't have plugins available for!

Might even sell a lot of copies of SimTools to people who don't have motion sims if they can use it to grab gamepad rumble data from any PC game that utilizes it and drive their bass shakers with it!

I'd even be willing to chop up a gamepad to get this functionality if it can't be intercepted software side but I have no idea how I'd translate the current for the rumble motors into signals appropriate to run into my amp.

Sure if we can get access to the rumble effects. (which I'm not sure how to do as its driver based I think.)
But from a "Can SimTools do it" stand point, yes.
But I would bet the telemetry would do a better job I think.

    Take care,

Great game, great idea. Been waitin for its release for a long time.
    On a side note:
    1) game mechanics are not very well suited for dof syms. I mean, robots move SLOWLY, dont really use any roll. Maybe a little pitch for boosters and little shaking for "slow walking" effect.
    2) game doesnt support hotas yet (but will at some point).Which leads me to believe it wont be playable in sim due to lack of free space for my hands - its usually occupied by wheel and joystick/hotas bolt-ons.
    3) most effects are more of a butt-shaker thing, not motion sim.

But even a little motion and occasinal roll/heave will be great :)
