Hi, I am reading valve specification sheets and I have one question.

Some valve datasheets refer to response time others to max working frequency. Are they directly connected to each other like:
10Hz = 100ms/2 = 50ms response time? Is it between to positions in a 3 position valve? Any position?

I am trying to find out which 5/3 valve I can use.

5/3 Valves do open/close the exhaust automatically. That means practically, that you have virtually 4 valves (2x air-intake;2x air-outtake) with a single 5/3 valve.

Switching freqency depends on the travel lenght the internal slider has to move from one to another position.

Watch out for 5/3 middle closed with 1/8 conection response time < 25ms.

Ask the manufactuer for the response time. If he does not want to tell you the detailed specs, then they are probably bad^^

Is it correct that a response time of 25 ms would be 20Hz working freq?
