    1. Reset all interfaces blank. Restart Game Engine. Output Testing, “Turn On”... countdown starts. Works as designed.
    2. Set interfaces #1 and #2. Save. Exit Game Engine. Restart Game Engine. Output Testing, “Turn On”... no go; error message: “One of your interfaces requires Game Engine to be restarted. Please restart Game Engine”.

I keep resetting and attempting again with no success.

    Help please.

I can't really see the screen shots as they are so small.
But I can tell you are using ID = 1 and you should be using the one above it.
Set the one that says ID = 0 and you should be good to go.
    Take care,
    yobuddy

... still no success. I’m considering a complete reinstall. As an idea, can you provide me all the proper axis and interface settings and I’ll simply input your; as opposed to you trying to verify my inputs???

Uncheck the 'DIR' setting from Pitch for Axis 2a.
Also, instead of Roll I think you want Sway.
And instead of Pitch you want Surge.

What type of SCN actuators do you have?

Do they center when you start GameEngine?
Have you changed any of the default IP addressing?
May I have a pic of your SCN5 plz.

Actuators used to center in Sim Tools v2.0, but not since going to v2.2.5

I had not changed original ip addressing until today after a friend’s suggestion; Game Manager/Game Engine now have same IP. Still getting same “restart Game Engine” error.

2 pics attached: SCN actuator and Frex controller unit with USB converters.

Please make sure both IP's are set to 127.0.0.1.
In both game manger and game engine.
    Then reboot your pc.
While it is rebooting power your scn's off, wait a few sec's and then power them on.
When windows is rebooted, launch GameEngine and see if they center.

Then please try one SCN at a time.
Simply remove the interface settings for Interface 2.
then reboot and unplug/re-plugin the scn's.

Startup GameEngine and see if one centers.
If it does, try output testing.

Interface 1 “only” does center actuators and will output test: Good news!
I then tried Interface 2 only (com 4): No success.
Assuming it may be a com or USB issue, I reversed the two actuator USB plugins and still only Interface 1 (com 3) will center and output test.

Also, don’t know if relevant, but I’m pretty certain my upgrade to 2.2.5 changed active com 5 to com 4.

I'm not saying it didn't change, but SimTools could not have done it.
SimTools has no control on how the OS assigns the port numbers is all I'm saying.

My guess is you have some sort of wiring problem with the Interface2 actuator.
    Or a loose connection maybe.
At lease we found the problem!

My immediate assumption as well was it must be hardware related, but, if so, Interface 1 should not have worked to center actuators when I reversed actuator plugins... correct?

    Update since my message yesterday:
Interface 1 “only” (Axis 1a) works for either com3 or com4 Testing, regardless of which actuator. Interface 2 “only” (Axis 2a) does not work solo or in combination.

I have verified that all serial ports and USB devices are functional.
