Hi all, I've been patiently trying to figure out a problem I have with a prototype rig which I'm using to get ready for a sim build but I'm either missing something or there's something wrong with my understanding.

I have a SparkFun MM and Arduino Uno stacked with 12V input to the board from a modified server PSU, PSU is giving a nice 12VDC out to the MM and another separate feed to the Uno.

I have a case-ground modified 12V wiper motor connected to A2-B2 on the MM and a 10k potentiometer connected to +5V, GND & A1 on the stacked MM/Uno. I have unmodified @RacingMat Arduino code loaded to the Uno.

Now, all things being equal, when the setup is initialised with the pot off the motor and in the centre (5k) position, the motor should react when the pot is turned CW or CCW outside of the threshold, triggering the return to position code.

What is actually happening is that with the pot in centre position, the motor will be rotating in one direction and it will continue to rotate in the same direction right up to the maximum pot value of 10k. It will only only turn off when it is turned back down and goes under around 1.5k and it will never reverse. MM LEDs indicate single direction, no reversing.

Can anyone see anything obvious that I am missing?

Instead of A1 try A4 or A5 for the pot. Should do the trick

Think one of Racingmats pages needs updating.
