Hi all, im Dusan from Slovakia,
im currently building 3DOF, currently have installed 2motors and i have problems with simtools, maybe im missing some point in configuration options idk :( i have try many settings but no effect ... after some days with no luck if decide to post question for help here.

I have inpiration from this thread from SCK gaming
    https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/my-finished-2dof-project-videotutorial.16214/

and have read this great thread about problematic here:
    https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/my-project-2dof.13425/

Here is video where u can see unexpected motor movements,

    Components i use:
    SMC3 v1.0 with original Arduino UNO R3 + MODE2 enabled
    SMC utils v1.01
    Simtools v2
    Simtools v3
    Computers with windows 10, 11
    Motors 24V 250W 75rpm
Hall angle sensors DC5V with 0-5V output
BTS7960 (i have tried with 4 other pieces - same results)
    Power supply 1000W 24V - modified to 18.5V
Pulley 20Teeth 10mm on hall sensor
Pulley 40 Teeth 10mm on motor
    Belt 200mm length / 10mm width
    Ratio 1:2

Here in attachments are scrrenshots from simtools 3, same settings i have in simtools 2 (especially rotational output type 153 deg.)

    Many thanks for help :)

Hi all, my problem still not fixed
    - replaced IBT_2 to Moster Moto Shield (switched back to MODE1 in SMC.ino) -> same results
    - replaced HALL angle sensor to ordinary 10k POT -> less accuracy in movements and same results
    - changed Arduino board, changed USB cable, changed power supply (12V, 15V, 18.5V, 24V) -> same results
    - reconfigured SMC3Utils all to zero, set PWMmax to 95, (after > 60 motor start moving) -> same results
    - i have changed every components except motors

I attach image here about movements and its look like every odd 15 degrees has laggy movements (in simtools v2, v3), motor2 has same "problem"

SMC3Utils works fine, thats reason i think a have something miscofigured or so,
i have reinstalled simtools 2 and 3 multiple times and configured again with no luck :(

    Thanks for help :)

Can you please post pictures of all your current SMC3 settings, and an associated video of the sine wave with those settings.

Then can you please post pictures of all of your SimTools 2 settings, given SimTools 3 is in Beta and can potentially have bugs.

Make sure the computer is set to English local for SimTools 2: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/simtools-language-setting-bug-change-to-english-local.233/

Then post a video of Output Testing in SimTools 2 with all axis allocated 25% and no other filters or parameters set.

Hi thanks bro, it was problem with unicode chars, (i meant it was some problem with serial communication), and it was exactly like u point me to set system to English unicode utf-8, i have all computers on sk_SK and that messed up some serial data communication from simtools

Now all movements look very smooth

Thanks again, i owe u beer :) :cheers
now i wanna make some tutorial for others about building 2/3DOF like im currently building ;)
