    Hi guys,

I am a sim racer and I have a 2DOF + Traction Loss platform. I want to buy some helicopter controls and fly around in a helicopter soon in DCS ( I have a couple of real world hours). Now the question is what should I do with the traction loss axis? Use it for yaw, or simply disable it? I am in VR only BTW.

    Hi,
    What did you do?
Does the traction loss work axis work with pedal turns?
    Cheers Andrew

Traction loss for Yaw for sure. Opposite the pedal, so left pedal should kick the tail of the rig to the right. Use washout to return to center.

I know this is old, but I am new and not trying to create new threads all over this site.

I have a 4 dof actuator setup that has Yaw. I too fly helicopters and strictly want to enjoy them in DCS.

I see the tip for reversing the yaw. So right anti torque causing the back of the helo to shift left, the simulator mimics this in real time. I have mine setup this way so far I believe.

    Any other tips for helicopters?

I currently overlap my roll heave and pitch. Like a total of 170 as it seems they aren't impeding on eachother. On the back setup I add yaw pitch and heave totally about 130.

I also use the intensity to 10% to match ingame which works well.
