    Hello everybody

I just came across this forum few days ago and I registered today.
I know nothing about motion rigs but i’ve Been always interested in flight simulation.
I use DCS world and not so long ago I bought an oculus rift.
The rift is so immersive compared to a screen that the next logical step was to find a way to make my body feel what my eyes see....
This is how i found this forum
I don’t have the time to build myself a motion platform, I just ventured in a new, quite demanding job that takes away a lot of my days nor a workshop where to do that.
But I saw there are quite few and some even affordable commercial products on the market right now.
I saw this Fasetech Racing cube and I can’t really find too much info anywhere.
There is a thread on this forum but not so much info either, actually there is more than a thread but some refer to the prototype.
Now can I ask some of the more experienced guys over here what they think about it?
Would it be good for flight simming?
    Any pros?
Any cons you can anticipate from the few images/videos/specifications?
Talking about the price, I know is not cheap but at least affordable, do you think it is good value for the money?
Is there any better in the same price range?
I know there is also the dof reality for even less money and I’ve read that people have had some issues but when the issues where fixed, they where happy with it but that machine doesn’t have heave, and this is why I’m more oriented towards the racing cube.

Sorry for the many questions but I’m totally ignorant in this field and I just would like to get more info since it’s still quite a lot of money.

This thread on the Racing Cube references earlier ones as well: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/racingcube-release-trailer.11454/

Yaw (pivot around a central point) does suit flight simulation, particularly helicopters, but is not as effective as traction loss (pivot around a forward point near the feet) for race simulation.

I consider heave adds a lot to the experience. It does appear to be spring assisted. It is unclear if that is adjustable for different user weights and unknown to what extent oscillation may be a factor.

I am not aware of any member with motion sim background having yet had access to the Racing Cube, so comments can only be made with respect to the design and promotional videos. The latter, particularly in the early days, were aimed at the uninitiated with somewhat wild large movements, rather than best motion profile. The movement in the latest video is a bit more refined.

In my view value for money is a relevant judgement based on personal circumstances and priorities.

It is a commercial rig so this should be in the commercial thread section, @Pit or @RaceRay can you please move it there when you get a spare moment.
