    Hi

Does anyone have one of these are how good are they? I was looking for a FFB joystick but bit too difficult to find unless I wanna buy an old second hand one. Are these worth the cost?

    Cheers!

I have a Warthog and really do think it is worth it for the robust design and quality movement.

The one thing I don't like about it is that it does not have a native way to slightly offset the joystick so it is a more comfortable angle relative to your natural hand rest position. I made a new base plate to do that, which is really simple.

Another thing that makes a huge difference with precision flying is using an extension, I used one for center joystick. There are a few people that make them in different lengths:

I use one as well, the most precise stick that I have used, the throttle is well laid out but I have not been happy with the friction setup. Mine has come apart inside.

As for FFB there is a 400.00 upgrade available online that completely replaces the base.

yeah actually that replacement base isnt for FFB its just a force sensor. AFAICK there is no Force feedback mod or anything for the Hotas Warthog

I think FFB for WW2 aircraft is fun, but for modern aircraft, it would be little bit funny.

Yes, sorry I meant force sensing. I had assumed the op did as well. I had forgotten that there used to be actual force feedback joysticks. The last I remember were the Microsoft sticks.

@sunny_hk I like your office chair design. Mine has a Bakers (style) ejection seat and so I have to open the side of my viperpit for egress.

I have a Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog combo and it feels mighty real to me. I think I even saw the stick used in The Martian movie in the Hermes Spacecraft.
