    My Motion Simulator:
    SCN5, Motion platform, 4DOF
I’m building a DIY 4 DOF platform of my own design and want to add heave to pitch, roll, and yaw.

I’ve read my SX-4000 can power four SCN5 actuators but only control three. I’m wondering what a fourth actuator can do.

Specifically, while SimTools is controlling the dedicated yaw actuator to rotate the platform AROUND the vertical Z axis; can it (and the SX-4000) also simultaneously enable the fourth actuator to respond to available game telemetry and move the platform VERTICALLY up or down on that same Z axis?

I can accomplish that with an additional actuator and controller but would like to keep it all in one box. Can the SX-4000 do it?

    Thanks,

    Pat
