    Dear friends of simulators,

at my last Italy vacation trip, I also went to Maranello. (Guess why?)

After visiting the Ferrari Museum in Maranello, I’d had to take a test ride with the F1 simulator too.
To be honest, if you never drove one before, it might be impressive. But it isn’t really that great.
It does have some movement and a belt tensioner to simulate braking force which is nice, but not spectacular at all.
But the worst thing is the missing force feedback, which made me struggle to find a precise line around the corners.
My own 4 DOF simulator with VR and Fanatec DD controls feels way more realistic, compared to this one. But said, being in Maranello, it’s a must to try them out.

    Here a

    Cheers

    Hi,
not fully sure, but from my observations it seems to have 3 DOF plus a belt tensioner.
I would say: Slight yaw, even less roll and pitch.

Edit: But the resticted motion might be linked to the static screens. If the movements are larger, it would be disturbing to the optical illusion, as the front axle links are "virtual" and the chassis monocoque is "real".

A Formula Style wheel, I assume based on the F1 Ferrari, but no idea what wheel base.
Maybe you can find out with other videos on youtube.
    Cheers
