    Hello,

I am a totally newby to motion sims, but I have read all your articles and now I have this I want it, too feeling.
I hope this is not too tough for my first adventure trip into electronics.

    Step 1:
My ordering for the parts for the AVR Motion Board and the Dual Motor H Bridge is prepared. Thanos, Sirnonames, Christians and Michaels DIY Motion Sim are the threads for my orientation now.
But this will be the hardest part for me, to solder this boards without errors and to understand the eletronic background.

    Step 2: NEED ADVICE!
I found these motors from a e-scooter, located at a dealer near my home town.
    Motor für E-Scooter 1250031 24V 120Watt http://www.ts-audio.biz/tsshop2/WGS/6872/PRD/ETT1250154/Motor_fuer_E-Scooter_1250031_24V_120Watt.htm
    Elektro-Motor MY-1016, 24V=, 250W http://www.ts-audio.biz/tsshop3/WGS/6872/PRD/ETT1250171/Elektro-Motor_MY-1016_24V=_250W.htm
They seem to be very compact, yet very powerful.
Is the voltage 24V a problem? Or the max Ampere 13,7A (8A)?
There are only two wires coming out of the motor chassis. Will the mass cable need to be lead out?

    Step 3:
Building the Motion Simulator together. I will start this step, if step 1 & 2 are solved.

Wish me luck, now I must read further articles from Thanos and co.

Hello Targa. Me too had Thanos AMC as my first electronic soldering project. Now it is done, and I am ready to start the building of a sim. My advice is to take your time, and make no hurry. its not a bad idea to check solderings very carefully and many times if you get problems, double check your order of parts, and its a goo idea to have extra parts of some sensitive components etc. mosfets and ic`s. Another advice is to read once again all the topics about it if you run into problems. But this forum gives you a lot of help i can ashure you!!! What kind of sim-rig do you plan. Thanos H-bridge is build for 5-50 volts, but others can give good advice on this questions!

    God luck!

    Fred

    Thanks for your tips, Fred.

Actually there's no reason to hurry, so I'm going to order, build, solder, plan this project very carefully.
For now, I try to gather as much information I can. This forum is full of it. Maybe I need one or two more weeks of further investigation.

If I took these motors, what would I need for a power supply? Could this be done with a PC Power supply?

    Hey,
