Hi, some time ago i started to make a wheel from a broken T500RS
Mechanical part was done around the electronic of Thrustmaster ( hall sensor + main board)
It's working, but I'm not totally satisfied with the sensor on motor axis behind 2 belts, I think it would be more accurate directly on wheel axis and allow less belts tension.
In other threads I saw peoples successfully use custom boards such Arduino or STM32 with Omron encoder, but i cant find which models was used. Some of these threads start to get old and links are dead..
E6B2 CWZ6C seems to be the most common encoder used but not sure either which version should I pick :

The metal structure is placeholder until the electronic part is done but i think there not much to modify anymore I'm already happy with how it feel.

Which board and encoder would you recommend in 2021 to handle the FFB?
