SteamVR related stuttering - Nvidia update and hotfix

    The next Nvidia driver update will include fixes for widely reported SteamVR related VR stuttering.

    For whatever it’s worth, there is a Steam setting for desktop theater that needs to be off too. (Or used to) I forget the exact naming but it’s something about desktop theater. Until I turned that off, Steam VR was stuttery and a mess. Now it’s nice and smooth.

    I’m not at my system to check driver versions so grain of salt, but I think 457.09 was the last Nvidia driver that worked properly with SteamVR. That is what I’m running now (again IIRC). But that desktop theater setting still caused problems.

    Glad they are looking into this. Rolling back nvidia drivers because of SteamVR stuttering was the last straw for my system which had started going unstable. Had to do a complete Windows reinstall/rebuild to get my system back. On the other hand, a fresh Windows install fixed a lot of weirdness in Windows that had creeped in over the years.
