I have been slowely thinking of building motion to my existing 40x80 rig ( used only for racing in VR). Yesterday i saw a local auction selling his DYI parts (he lost interest in the project), got them real cheap (if it all works). I thought it would at least be a cheap start and learning experiance :).

Got three motor's (full specs unknown/ poorly googleble), powersupply, 2 monster moto shields+coolers, arduino, emergency stop, and a couple of bits and bobs.

Lots of reading up to do with this forum.

    I have one question:
Would any of you suggest (attempt) setting the motors up for either horizontal (forward/back & yaw left right) or the pivoting axis/ vertically. I am tempted to go for horizontal even though pivoting seems more emmersive...

See the eligibility criteria, your rig and build thread need to show progression to the rig testing phase.

The demo version of SimTools come with the fully functional Live For Speed plugin, specifically for testing purposes.
