Hi recently i had to reinstall simtools (after geforce drivers upgrade game manager gave up work - .net framework problem??), but after clean reinstall i still have big troubles setting my SCN6 rig:( the biggest trouble is with smoothing - when i set smoothing to more then 20% (i used to have it 100%!) the movement is very slow and jerky - as on the vid:(
    Any ideas, please?

    Yes i tried no help:(
Acdeleration is not a problem, i used ti have 200 only, no i ´ m trying with 150 and still no good. When i turn off smoothing filter it ´ s all good (in testing not in game - that ´s where i need smoothing..).

You can use the GameManger profile editor Main Level slider to add and remove smoothing for all axes live while playing.
    Maybe give that a try.

I will many thanks. Never played with that one, as i read somewhere here that it is not really recommended to put this one down.
But will give it a try.
But the strange thing is that it worked perfectly for like 5 months, no hardware changes made.. Completely same setting (axis, tuning, filters, accel and speed), like before
I only disassembled the rig completely to repaint it, the assembled again, then first of all upgraded nvidia drivers and then the problems start.
Net fix problem with game manager (can not connect to game engine) - clean install of simtools and then unable to find good settings like before and mainly this troubles with smoothing filters:(

Also when i´m in this topic - since beginning i got another "trouble" (not a big issue but still) - when i start game engine sometimes it does not calibrate acurators. Have to restart game engine and it works..

Maybe try different usb cables, I have seen this before.
Usually a loose connection or a bad cable.
    Take care,

Thanks for tip on a cable...
Btw did you ever played with Dyadic TBVST tool gain? Maybe i´ll give it a try also, even that before i was very happy with movement of my rig:)

Looks like .NET was broken, there is a repair tool you could try.

    Now i ´m desperate, really...
Done one more fresh win install, disconnected from network, installed ONLY simtools, and the problem (with smoothing) is still there.
I tried everything, disconnect all the pheripals from computer, tried different cables, ports, nothing helps..
I tried even another computer, the problem is still there:(((
As i was playing with it i got even "alarm" message in tbvst, and scn´s gave up work completely... After restart of power source, it works again, but still smoothing problem...
    Can not understand it:((((

It is not problem with that.
Well after 8 hours of trying EVERYTHING i made at least little progress - i made it working again. I´ve set up a COM ports and it WORKED!! But only till first restart of the computer, after that i can set the ports whatever i want and it is still buggy:(
I´m now almost sure the problem will be in this COM ports, but which problem.... I have SCN´s connected via Frex Motion4 box, maybe that one can be faulty...? Have no way to try that...
VERY strange is that yesterday it worked - for a while and today i made it work again - for a minute... Can not understand it...
Quick note - i do not have any other device using com ports connected to the computed, just usb keyboard and mouse.. Not any drivers for wheel or pedals or anything - fresh windows install there...

And one more thing - after restart some COM ports settings jump back to defaults...

Are the actuator IDs set to 0 and the Com ports set below 10?

yes sure.. it is working, only when i add that smoothing it goes jerky... i could find some another tuning to tune it but i do not want to because something is wrong and i do not know why... it used to work like that so have to make it work like before, perfectly tuned...

Still no luck solving this problem after 4 days...
I have made another video which shows the problem clearly..
This is third computer i´m trying.. When i first installed simtools and ftdi (just minute before this video) it worked perfectly even with smoothing at 100%.
Then restarted and it is acting like this:

Completely desperate here... Will probably have to try new ftdi and power supply or i do not know really.

Well, i bought different USB-RS485 converter. Absolutely no change. After installation it works perfect even with 100% smoothing, after first restart, it is wrong again:(
I catched on camera how it should work when it is ok - can compare to my previous video...
This is ok (till first restart)

I do not know really. Last thing is the power source (using meanwell sp-320-24).

Are you using the same Speed and Accelerations settings for the SCN's?
